I want to earn from home for at least $500 working only part-time. “Suntok sa buwan”, as they may say especially if you just started learning on how you can work from home. I wanted to earn such amount but it only floats on my brain because sometimes I think “I could never do that” or sometimes ” Is that really possible”?. The biggest lesson I learned in life is that mindset is everything because I know that what I think about and focus on becomes my reality. Success is an inside job and if I want to earn $500 in 30 days, then I need to program my mind for success! So for the next 30 days,  join me on my  500/30 CHALLENGE!

Everything starts from Setting Goals and Planning! My goal is to earn $500 in 30 days in 1 New Job Marketplace for at least $8.50 per hour and working  15 hours per week. In order for me to achieve that, I need to apply for at least 10 projects per day and making it at least 70 applications for one week.

Going to job marketplaces is the best way to kick-off your freelancing career while you are still learning about the industry. In this way,  you only have to focus on: Sending a number of applications! Here are some of the top job marketplaces  for your freelancing projects:

  1. Upwork.com
  2. Freelancer.com
  3. OnlineJobs.ph
  4. Raket.ph
  5. PeoplePerHour.com
  6. Guru.com
  7. GoLance.com
  8. Fiverr.com

For the purpose of doing the 500/30 Challenge, I am pursuing PeoplePerHour.com as my new job marketplace.

Understand How It Works

Take some time to read how it works. Some of the things you need to check:

  • How to  sell your services
  • Send job proposal
  • Type of projects  – do they offer hourly or fixed price projects
  • How to get paid
  • How to communicate with clients

Please check more details here: https://www.peopleperhour.com/static/how-it-works-seller

Fill up the following sections.

  • About You
  • Select your skills
  • Add References
  • Set On Your Site Preferences
  • Personalize your Application

Once the profile is set, this is subject to approval and there are two options in processing: BASIC and FAST TRACK. The BASIC option has a turn-around time within 7 approximately 7 days depending on the volume of the applicants. While FASTTRACK requires a payment of $4.99 with a maximum of 24 hours approval.

While waiting for my approved profile, here are some key points  you need to know:

  • Proposal Credits – there are only 15 proposal credits and you have to wait for another month for another 15 credits. However, you can buy more proposal credits, for a minimum of 5 proposal credits for $8.95.
  • Featured Proposal Credits – You can also buy proposal credits for a minimum of 1 credit for $7.95.
  • Payment Method Setup

PeoplePerHour.com offers 3 payment method: Paypal, Payoneer, and Bank Account.  Among the three, I used Payoneer as this has a higher exchange rate compared to the two payment method.

There you go, I am done with my PeoplePerHour Registration! Good news! I thought I have to wait for 7 days to have my profile approved but it was approved within 24 hours.

Since this is now approved, I can now send a proposal. Next step is to send applications tomorrow and the journey begins tomorrow!
